Best of Marvellous March

Best weekend – Tom’s birthday weekend, our trip to Windermere
It was the weekend of surprises… I’d arranged for three of Tom’s best friends to stay at our place for a big birthday surprise and his face was a picture when he saw them! He was then on edge all weekend, convinced I was going to surprise him with something else at any moment… I think we actually got to eight on the surprise count!
My second birthday cake attempt was much prettier than my first...
After a big birthday dinner at Avanti on the Saturday night, we spent his actual birthday in Windermere. It was a crisp and sunny day – perfect weather to explore lovely Bowness.
The birthday gang minus Beth who took this fab photo!
We were all quite keen to go on a boat cruise around the lake and, as luck would have it, one was just about to leave as we walked past. So, we bought our tickets (only £7.50 each) and jumped on board! It was very windy, but it was nice and refreshing.
Boat fun!
The commentary about Lake Windermere was really interesting and we learnt lots of cool facts. One of the highlights was going past Storrs Hall – our wedding venue! We all felt quite emotional and it was so lovely seeing the magnificent building from the water on such a beautiful day.
Storrs Hall - Windermere's very own Downton!
After the boat trip, we were all pretty chilly and fancied a nice hot drink to warm us up. We wandered around the cute streets and found a traditional old pub called Hole in t’Wall. It was just what we were after and we warmed our cold hands while sipping Baileys hot chocolates and cups of tea while chatting about Storrs Hall and the wedding.

A little later on, we were all craving a traditional Sunday roast for dinner and we wanted to find another cosy pub to have one in. We asked a few people and they all recommended The Albert. It was really busy, but we managed to get a big table for five upstairs. I had a lamb roast with a nice glass of Malbec and it was so delicious. It was a very generous portion, served with tender lamb, crispy roasties, creamy mash and big bowls of vegetables for us all to share.
Sunday wouldn't be Sunday without a big fat roast!
After our huge meals, we were all quite glad we had parked far away. It meant we could walk off our dinners and also enjoy Windermere in the evening when the throngs of tourists had headed home and all that was left were the swans and a pretty blue-pink sky.
Lovely Lake Windermere at dusk
Best meal out – Avanti for Tom’s birthday
If you live in/near Kirkby Lonsdale, or if you’ve ever visited the town, then you will probably know what a challenge it is to book a table at Avanti on a Friday or Saturday night! It is probably the most popular restaurant in KL because of the delicious food, reasonable prices and buzzing atmosphere.

At first, I thought my plans were going to go haywire when I couldn’t book a table. Luckily however, after a chat with the manager (who I pleaded with to help me out!), he managed to squeeze us in. He also decorated the table and presented Tom with a whopping big sparkler in his birthday cake (my instructions were to embarrass him as much as possible!)
Tom was definitely not the slightest bit mortified about the subtle birthday display I arranged...
We all had a great meal there. I had the chicken saltimbocca which is served on a bed of risotto, I’d been meaning to try it for a while, after both Tom and my best friend Loren had previously raved about it.

Two bottles of wine, an Italian feast and one embarrassingly loud rendition of ‘happy birthday’ later, we all wandered over to The Sun for a nightcap, then headed home for a game of Cards Against Humanity – more on that later…

Best meal in – Fillet steak with vegetables and roasted potatoes
The first part of Tom’s birthday weekend began with one of our favourite ever meals. We picked up two juicy fillet steaks from Dales Butchers and cooked them rare (obv) with roasted vegetables, baby potatoes, steamed asparagus and a peppercorn sauce.
What dreams are made of
We had a glass of Moet to start and a glass of Alexis Lichine Bordeaux SupĂ©rieur with the steak. The wine wasn’t actually as bad as the reviews I’ve read have made out, but having it with steak was probably a good call, as it lifted the flavours of the wine.

My first attempt at Tom’s birthday cake had gone slightly (massively) wrong, but despite it looking like a baking disaster, it actually tasted pretty good, so we had a bit of that for dessert while watching House of Cards. Great start to the birthday weekend!
My cake catastrophe
Best evening out and about – Lancaster night out
You know you’re getting older when you have to psych yourself up for about a week before going on a night out. About five years ago, my friends and I would hit the town on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights – three nights running! I honestly don’t know how I did it!

We had a good laugh in Lancaster though. We started our night at Merchants 1688, before moving on to the bar at 1725. Then we went to Mint where my cocktail came with a shot of champagne! How fabulous!
Girliest cocktail ever
After that, we had a quick drink at The Borough and then ventured over to The Apothecary. I was really boring because despite the adventurous and lengthy drinks menu, I went for the same cocktail as I did the last time we were there because the glass comes with candy floss in and then you pour the drink in and it changes colour! (I know I sound about six-years-old, but it is REALLY cool!)
Smileeee :)
Best event – Kendal Food Festival, Lakeland Businesswomen's Network Conference and Posh at Camp and Furnace
It’s too difficult to pick my favourite event because I’ve been to some great ones this month.

Kendal Festival of Food was incredible because I’m such a foodie and I loved writing my blog post about it.
We bought lots of goodies at Kendal Festival of Food
The LBN Conference was just so fabulous and inspirational. It was really useful on a professional level, thanks to all the workshops and business advice.
I left behind two bad habits following the LBN Conference
Watching a performance of Posh at Camp and Furnace in Liverpool was also a really fantastic night out. The play, based on The Riot Club, was excellent and I felt so proud watching my super talented cousin Adam.
My cousin Adam in Posh at Camp and Furnace
Best blog post – The one I’ve enjoyed writing the most and my most popular post
I really enjoyed writing the post about my 10 random facts. It made me giggle and brought back lots of funny memories, especially the time when I interviewed the tallest man in Europe! The pictures never fail to make me laugh whenever I see them.
7ft7 versus my barely 5ft self!
My most popular blog post this month was the one about Kendal Festival of Food with 187 views so far! Amazing!

Best purchase – Primark haul
I had a bloomin’ good Primark haul this month. I was feeling the pinch as it was Tom’s birthday and I wanted to spoil him, so Primark was my shopping fix saviour! I got some ripped jeans for just £11 (I think they were down from £18) and amazingly, they actually fit me on the leg, they must actually be cropped jeans because THAT NEVER HAPPENS. I had to buy them for that reason alone.
Ripped jeans (£11) and pumps (£4) from Primark
I also bought some nice indigo jeans (that don’t fit me on the leg *sob*), a few gym/lazing around t-shirts, a couple of smart shirts, a pair of comfy flat pumps and two cute little gold necklaces which were just £1.50 each.

Best film – All the Harry Potter films!
Usually when I tell people I haven’t watched the Harry Potter films, they look at me as if I’ve just said my name is the-one-who-can’t-be-named! I read the first four books when I was younger, then for some reason, I lost interest. I don’t know how or why on earth that happened because my love for the stories has now well and truly been ignited!
*Spoiler alert* I watched all the films this month and I can’t pick my favourite because they are all so good (but pretty scary!) I cried my eyes out when Dumbledore died (I still refuse to believe he’s actually dead!) and I knew Snape was going to be a good egg in the end!

Best book – My Best Friend’s Girl by Dorothy Koomson
This book was such a surprise, as I didn’t expect it to be actually as deep as it was. The front cover looks like your typical chick-lit book, but it's actually a really emotional story that makes you realise that you just never know what is around the corner in life. I really like Dorothy Koomson’s writing style, so I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for more of her books. Read my review of My Best Friend’s Girl here.

Best quote – Can't say!
Okay, so I can’t write my favourite actual quotes from real people here. They were all from a game called Cards Against Humanity (probably the most politically incorrect game to ever be invented), but as we discovered, SO much fun. However, I really cannot repeat anything that was said that evening on here...

Best wedding planning fun – Save the Date cards
We picked our Save the Date cards a couple of weeks ago! It was so exciting, even though I drove myself a little crazy proof-reading the tiny paragraph of text about 50 times...

Best recipe – Deliciously Ella creamy coconut porridge
I was so excited to buy the Deliciously Ella cookbook. I’ve been following her for a while on Instagram and Twitter and I love her healthy recipes and lifestyle blog. I am making my way through the book, but it’s a bit of a challenge to convince Tom to eat vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free recipes!

It’s hard to pick my favourite, but if I had to, it would probably be the creamy coconut porridge. I am verging on obsessed with it. I have it most days for breakfast now and I always top it off with a tablespoon of chia seeds for an extra fibrous boost!
The recipe:
(Serves 1)
200ml of boiling water
1/3 a cup of oats
4 tablespoons of coconut milk (or almond milk works well too)
1 tablespoon of almond butter
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1 sliced banana

If you have time, you can let the water and milk soak the oats and half the sliced banana. If not, then simply add the oats, water, coconut milk and half the sliced banana to a saucepan and allow it to heat for about ten minutes, until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Then, stir in the almond butter and coconut oil and let them dissolve into the mix. Once it’s all nicely mixed, pour it into a bowl and add the other half of the sliced banana and any other yummy toppings.
My favourites toppings include:
Crushed almonds
Chia seeds
Blueberries
Sliced strawberries
Dried mixed berries
Dried cranberries
Raisins

Best new discovery – Cards Against Humanity game and Grasmere gingerbread
The Cards Against Humanity Game, as I mentioned earlier, is my favourite new discovery. It is just SO wrong, but so appallingly right. It is seriously hilarious – as in, you can’t even catch your breath hilarious. I’d recommend anyone with a bit of a naughty sense of humour to buy this game ASAP! (And play it with like-minded friends!)

My other favourite discovery is Grasmere gingerbread. I tried it at the Kendal Festival of Food and I can’t believe I haven’t had it before! It is absolutely delicious and so is the rum butter too. I keep nagging Tom for a trip to Grasmere so we can stock up on some more!
The best gingerbread in the world!

And finally… we had the best news ever in March… our offer on a gorgeous house in Kirkby Lonsdale was accepted! We are so happy because we’ve been house hunting for absolutely ages and we were starting to think we were never going to find one! A great way to end a marvellous March. Hope you all had a lovely month, fingers crossed for a wonderful April too x

My Top 10 Skincare Products

I have quite problematic skin and I’ve always struggled to find the right products that won’t give me breakouts or drown my skin in excess oil.

As I mentioned in this post, I suffered with bad acne when I was younger and was eventually prescribed Roaccutane when I was 17. Luckily, I didn’t suffer from any of the nasty side effects and it cleared up my skin.

Although I’m now 24, I still get breakouts that remind me of my awful teenage skin years. Even now, I sometimes get whiteheads (sorry if you’re eating while reading this!) which are just the worst! They’re impossible to cover up with make-up, as piling concealer on just seems to draw attention to them. You shouldn’t pop them either, as you can be left with scarring, but they’re so gross that it’s hard to just leave them alone.

It has taken a long time and a lot of products to find a skincare regime that works for me, but fingers crossed, I think I’ve found my wonder products. These are:
  • Clean & Clear deep action cream wash (oil-free)
  • Clean & Clear morning energy skin brightening daily facial scrub (oil-free)
  • Clean & Clear dual action moisturise (oil-free)
  • Clearasil ultra rapid action gel wash
  • Simple cleansing facial wipes
  • Simple soothing eye balm
  • Olay Essentials complete care night cream (for normal/dry/oily skin)
  • Differin 0.1% gel (this is a topical acne treatment and only available with a prescription from a GP)

Technically, I guess they aren't skincare products, but I also love:
  • Vaseline healthy hands and stronger nails cream
  • Burt’s Bees lip balm

My favourite wonder products!
My morning routine
As soon as I wake up, I’ll wash my face with the Clean & Clear morning energy skin brightening daily facial scrub. It’s the perfect morning skincare product as the lemon and papaya extracts make it smell so zesty and refreshing. The bursting beads gently exfoliate your skin and wake you up so you’re ready for the day ahead!

I usually try and do a workout in the morning, so after that, I’ll have a shower and wash my face again with the Clearasil ultra rapid action gel wash. This is one of my favourite products because I’ve found it really does help with breakouts. Its description says it’s clinically proven to help visibly clearer skin in as fast as 12 hours and it has definitely helped mine.

The only downside of the gel wash is that it is a little drying, so I’ll put some Clean & Clear dual action moisturiser on my face afterwards. I used to worry about putting moisturiser on my chin (where I always seem to get my breakouts), but this product is oil-free, so it doesn’t feel greasy at all and it doesn’t feel like it’s clogging your pores.

After I’ve done that, I’ll put my make-up on as usual. I find that make-up is much easier to apply and looks a lot better when I’ve cleansed, gently exfoliated and moisturised my skin.
These are the best face washes I've found for oily skin
My evening routine
I’ve read so many articles about the importance of taking your make-up off before bed, so I always make sure I remember to take mine off. First, I’ll use a Simple cleansing wipe. I love Simple wipes because they have no alcohol, no oil, no harsh chemicals and no artificial perfume or colour, they also include pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E. I always stock up on these whenever they’re on offer as I hate using any other wipes, my skin just doesn’t feel right afterwards.

After I’ve used a Simple wipe to take off my make-up, I’ll wash my face with Clean & Clear deep action cream wash. I only started using this about a month ago, but I love it! It leaves my skin tingling and feeling like it has been thoroughly cleaned, but without clogging my pores.

Once my skin has been completely cleaned of all make-up, I’ll put some Olay Essentials complete care night cream on my cheeks, as they can sometimes feel a bit dry. It’s a thick cream which feels so lovely when you put it on and it smells gorgeous too. Then, I’ll pop some Simple soothing eye balm all around my eyes which reduces puffiness and relaxes tired eyes.

Finally, I’ll put rub a small amount of Differin 0.1% gel on my chin. The gel is really good, I’ve been using it ever since I came off Roaccutane six years ago. It is strong though, as it’s for acne, so you need to ask your GP about it if you have troublesome skin and want to try it.

My other two favourite products that I’ll use throughout the day are Vaseline hand cream and Burt’s Bees lip balm. Vaseline hand cream is a nice, non-greasy cream which apparently strengthens nails by 50% - a plus point for me, as I spend all day typing on my laptop!

Burt’s Bees lip balm with coconut and pear has been a revelation for me. I’ve been trying to wean myself off using Vaseline as a lip balm, as my lips constantly felt dry. Burt’s Bees is a great alternative, as it’s made from all natural ingredients which help keep your lips healthy and hydrated.

There you have it, my top 10 wonder products! What are yours? x

Recipe: Healthy-ish Pizza

I think anyone who is passionate about food will understand the constant battle between wanting to eat a delicious meal and having a slim figure. As I’m not one of those lucky buggers who can eat whatever they want without putting on weight (damn you metabolism!) I’m always on the lookout for healthy alternatives that won’t blow my workout.

These healthy pizzas I’ve discovered are a super simple alternative to one of my favourite naughty treats. Pizzas can easily add up to well over 1,200 calories, but these can amount to less than 300 (as long as you go easy on the cheese…)
Prosciutto and parmesan pizza with fresh basil
Firstly, preheat the oven to gas mark 6 (200C/390F) and spread a tiny (about a half-teaspoon) amount of garlic paste over a wholemeal pitta bread.

You can make your own sauce by heating up a tin of chopped tomatoes and adding finely chopped chillis, a clove of chopped garlic, a squeeze of garlic purĂ©e and a squeeze of tomato purĂ©e, as well as some dried Italian seasoning and salt and pepper. Or, you can buy Lloyd Grossman’s tomato and chilli sauce. I’ve tried both and they’re both yummy, it just depends how much time you have.

Heat the homemade or Lloyd Grossman sauce on a medium heat for around 10 minutes then spoon some on top of a wholemeal pitta bread.

Now, the toppings are up to you, but some of my favourite combinations are:
  • Parmesan, prosciutto and rocket with plenty of black pepper
  • Caramelised onion, goat's cheese and fresh basil
  • Goat's cheese and asparagus
  • Roasted red pepper, cherry tomatoes and spinach

We tried to make a fiorentina pizza but the egg yolk just wouldn’t stay put, no matter what we tried (although the copious amounts of Prosecco *might* have hindered our abilities ever so slightly…)

Depending on your toppings, pop your pizza in the oven for around 12 to 15 mins – keep an eye on how crispy you want them, I like mine pretty crisp. When they’re done, sprinkle some rocket or fresh basil on top with some black pepper and voila! Healthy-ish pizza!

Pretty Prague: My Top Picks

Last summer, Tom and I enjoyed a wonderful city break in Prague. We went for a week, which gave us more than enough time to explore the charming capital of the Czech Republic. If you’re planning a trip to Prague anytime soon, here are my highlights that I’d definitely recommend:

Drink a pint of Staropramen
Yep, start as you mean to go on! Beer is cheaper than water in Prague, so don’t be surprised if you come home with a little beer belly! I’m not very adventurous at all when it comes to beer, but I liked Staropramen and we drank it most days. If you want to learn more about Staropramen, you can visit the Staropramen Brewery, which is the second largest brewery in the Czech Republic.
Cheers!

Watch the Astronomical Clock display
On the hour, every hour, the procession of the 12 Apostles entertains tourists from all over the world. Apparently, in the Middle Ages, the mechanical performance was considered one of the wonders of the world. Although it may seem a little dated now (we heard lots of laughs from the crowd), it is still one of Prague’s top attractions and definitely a ‘must do’ for any tourist visiting the city.
Prague Astronomical Clock dates back to the 15th Century
Eat goulash and soup served in a bread bowl
We had our first meal (and pint) in the outside courtyard of a lovely little restaurant. I can’t remember the name of it, but it was one of the first restaurants on the right-hand side once you cross Charles Bridge into Mala Strana (or right before you cross the bridge if you’re staying in the Mala Strana neighbourhood). I had venison goulash, which was served in a rich and fruity sauce with two different types of dumplings. Delicious, but very filling!
First meal in Prague - yummy venison goulash with dumplings
Two words. Carb. Fest.
If you’re a Beatles fan, visit the John Lennon Wall and the John Lennon Pub
It felt a bit mad having been raised just outside Liverpool and visiting a shrine to John Lennon while on a city break in the Czech Republic! We had to do it though, as we both grew up listening to the Beatles and we’re both big fans. The John Lennon wall is covered in graffiti and lots of Beatles lyrics, as well as some letters that have been stuck to the bricks. Whenever we passed it, there was always a little queue to have your picture taken beside the big Lennon mural. The John Lennon Pub is just down the road from the wall, which is great fun and definitely worth a visit. You can explore the Beatles memorabilia that fills the pub while listening to their greatest hits (of course). We sat and had a drink there and felt as though we were back in Liverpool!
Check out the quirky architecture and sculptures
Our hotel was right by the Dancing House, also known as ‘Fred and Ginger,’ so we passed it most days. The building is a little controversial, as most people seem to love it or hate it. When it was being built between 1992 and 1996, it divided opinion, as its modern design stood out against the baroque, gothic and art nouveau buildings in the city. Personally, I prefer the older buildings throughout the city, particularly those in the Old Town Square.
Dancing House divides opinion
Keep an eye out for the many David Cerny sculptures, which are dotted around the city. One such sculpture is the pleasantly-titled ‘Piss’ statue next to the Franz Kafka Museum, featuring two mechanical men urinating on a map of the Czech Republic. The second is the slightly surreal group of giant babies that guard the entrance to Museum Kampa.
Charming!
Freaky!
Listen to a Vivaldi recital in the Klementinum
This was a lovely experience and one of the highlights of the holiday for me. I think there are a few classical concert options to choose from, but I really wanted to hear the Four Seasons by Vivaldi in the Mirror Chapel, which is so extraordinarily beautiful.
The Mirror Chapel is such a beautiful setting
We booked a ticket which also offered a tour of the Klementinum. It was definitely worth the extra money, as the view from the top of the tower was spectacular and it was great to learn a little more about the history of the building (especially the Baroque Library Hall!)
The view from the top of the tower during the Klementinum tour
Enjoy a decadent dinner at Kampa Park
Dinner at Kampa Park was an unforgettable evening. The stylish restaurant is in an ideal spot. It is right beside Charles Bridge, so from your table, you have a stunning view of the bridge lights sparkling in the Vltava river when the sun goes down. For starters, Tom had the seared scallops with cauliflower, nuts, raisins and capers and I enjoyed the beef carpaccio with parmesan cream and rocket salad. For our main course, we both opted for the duo of lobster au gratin, butter poached with croutons, fennel slaw and barigoule sauce. It was an absolutely gorgeous meal in a really romantic setting.

Walk across Charles Bridge at night
Both Tom and I much preferred Charles Bridge at night without the massive crowds of tourists. It was a completely different atmosphere in the evening, with just a few people walking along it. The gothic style of the bridge and the surrounding buildings means it really comes alive at night, it’s even a little bit spooky!
Charles Bridge at night is so different compared to daytime
Book Prague Airport Transfers and get a free walking tour!
We were so glad we did this, it was brilliant value and we learnt so much about the city. The tour lasts four hours and runs every day from 11am. Our tour guide (I think his name was Ross) was friendly, entertaining and, as you’d expect, he was very knowledgeable. We explored the Jewish Quarter, the historical buildings of the Old Town, the Charles Bridge and then we finished at Prague Castle.
Feeling quite tired at Prague Castle after our four hour walking tour!
Have a glass of wine at St. Wenceslas vineyard and dinner at Villa Richter
One evening, we were a little lagered-out and fancied a nice glass of wine, so we headed to St. Wenceslas vineyard, which is up by Prague Castle. According to legend, it is one of the oldest vineyards in Bohemia, where the “Lord’s Vineyard” was cared for by St. Wenceslas, the patron of Bohemia Lands himself. Just a little further along the path is Villa Richter, an Italian restaurant which overlooks the vineyard. We had a delicious pizza and pasta feast on the outdoor terrace there and they even brought us blankets when it got a little chilly!
Explore Prague Castle
It is the largest ancient castle in the world, so a trip to Prague wouldn’t be complete without a visit to see it! Prague Castle is actually a huge complex, so allow plenty of time to do it justice. Make sure you visit the St. Vitus Cathedral, which houses the tomb of St. John of Nepomuk and also features stunning art nouveau stained-glass windows, as well as a wooden depiction of the crucifixion. It is also well worth watching the ceremonial changing of the guard, which takes place hourly.

Dine al fresco on a lovely roof terrace at Coda
My first birthday treat was a romantic rooftop lunch at Coda Restaurant. We had a little table right at the end of the terrace. It was the perfect spot, as it offered uninterrupted views of Prague – with Petrin Hill on one side and the sprawling terracotta rooftops of the city on the other. After a glass of bubbly, we had sliced beef tenderloin with herb risotto and pickled onions, which was really yummy. I was super greedy and decided I just had to have a dessert, but little did I know that Tom had already arranged a birthday cake for me! So ‘two dessert Danni’ became my nickname for the day!
Birthday cake!
Watch Opera Barocca by candlelight
As a birthday treat, Tom booked tickets for Opera Barocca and it was one of the best nights of my life, it was just absolutely magical! The setting was stunning, it was in the courtyard of the Clam-Gallas Palace in the Old Town and it was really romantic, as the courtyard was completely filled with candles. The performance featured music and dancing from famous baroque operas and ballets of the 17th and 18th centuries. It was so beautiful and a night I’ll never forget! I’d recommend it to anybody who is planning a trip to Prague while the festival is on (I think it’s from mid-August to early September).
The courtyard of the Clam-Gallas Palace was filled with candles, so cute!
Have a fun day out at Prague Zoo
We got a little lost on the way to Prague Zoo, so make sure you know where you’re going before you head off, as it’s quite far out of town. It was worth the trip though, I saw a polar bear for the first time EVER which was so exciting! I also got quite excited about seeing the elephants, giraffes, tigers, hippos, monkeys, penguins… okay basically every animal that was there!
The funniest thing happened at the zoo. We were walking towards the hippo enclosure and there was a humungous pool there for them to swim around in (you can see them in it as it’s all glass) and there’s a place for visitors to stand in front of it. We stood there, then I turned around to talk to Tom and then his face suddenly looked pretty shocked at what was behind me. I turned around and the world’s biggest hippo (probably not, but he was bloomin’ big!) was right up to the glass and eye-level with me! I managed to get a quick picture after recovering from getting the fright of my life and we couldn’t stop laughing afterwards.
My new friend
Listen to the smooth sounds of jazz onboard a boat cruise
We had a fabulous time on the jazz boat cruise! Wine, cheese and great jazz music, what more could you want?! We also got chatting to the other couple on our table who were really lovely and we actually ended up sitting with them all evening until we eventually got kicked off the boat at midnight!
Wander around the gardens of Petrin Hill
When we visited Petrin Hill, it was a funny little day out as there isn’t actually much to do there. You can see the Prague equivalent of the Eiffel Tower, which is called Petrin Lookout Tower, and you can go to the top of it, where I’m sure you’d see some beautiful views. The queue was enormous by the time we got there, so we just bought ice creams and had a wander around the flower gardens which were really pretty. I think if we were to do it again, we would probably try and get there a bit earlier to avoid the queues and we’d also take a picnic with us as there were lots of nice spots to sit down and enjoy the sunshine.

Hope you all enjoyed my top picks for Prague! x
